Swap Configuration Item Wizard. The new Swap Configuration Item Wizard automates the process of replacing on-site customer configuration items with items from your inventory. You just complete a few steps and your finished… Select the new item, decide how you want to handle the outgoing configuration item (and any associated tickets), and indicate who should receive the automatic notification of the change.

Autotask lets you add, edit, track, maintain and report on an unlimited number of Inventory items across a wide variety of product types, by location. Search and report on any combination of Vendor, Product Name or Description, Location, Condition, Units on Hand, on Order and on Back Order. Add or Edit Inventory Items from the Add/Edit Pop-Up or from the Swap Configuration Item Wizard.
Autotask lets you maintain, track and report on Inventory at an unlimited number of locations. No more wondering how many printer cartridges are in a tech’s car instead of on the shelf in the warehouse!
The Transfer Inventory Item screen lets you track items as they move – from warehouse to a service technician, to a group or to a customer – instantly. Especially useful for maintaining control of high-volume, serialized stock – and you can review a full transfer history at any time.
To order new inventory, just right-click an item and choose Order Inventory Item. The New Purchase Order screen opens, pre-populated with all the relevant info. Want to order additional items from the same vendor? Just click the New button and choose your items from the product selector.
To associate an Inventory Item with an Account, just add the item as a Ticket or Project Cost. You can also associate an item with an Account when you use the Swap Configuration Item Wizard to replace an existing item.
The Receive Purchase Order pop-up allows you to record when items are received, how many were received and by whom and to record serialized products. The module automatically records the status and number of items received and retains that in the Purchase Order History
